Korean desire is less than garbage.
that's good opportunity that the world can recognize that Korea is crazy country
and people think that people wouldn't want to get involved with Koreans.
    The world cut Korea dead.
in fact, Korea who respect German is hated from German.
    The world hate Korea.

I don't know why the Olympics games with dozens of games are stacked in just 15 days.
I think it is better that the Olympics games take place in a longer time so that everyone can benefit. Japan is benefiting from tourism and TV broadcasting for a whole month and fans are watching more sports because many sports compete simultaneously because of the tight duration of the Olympics.

To emphasize the safety of Fukushima, Japan has raised the radiation exposure limit from 1 mSv (milli-sievert: unit of radioactivity) to 20 mSv. Rather than resolving the problem of radioactive contamination, it seems to be trying to raise awareness that it is lower than the exposure limit by changing standards. Japan currently has virtually no disposal of Fukushima nuclear waste. 97% of the accidentally melted nuclear fuel is still stored inside the nuclear power plant, where radioactive contaminated water is exponentially flowing daily as groundwater seeps into it. Recently, the international environmental group Greenpeace pointed out that Japan plans to keep it in the Pacific. Australian nuclear expert Helen Keldicott said, "The Japanese government wants to reassure them that the radiation levels are low, but it's all a lie."

WTH is every single comments are all about Fukushima?? I’ve been to Japan in 2012,2015,2016 & 2018 and I don’t see any threats to radiation. I went there last year in June and clearly everything looked perfectly safe and sound.

The Rising Sun Flag is the military flag of Japan. It was used as the war flag of the Imperial Japanese Army and the ensign of the Imperial Japanese Navy until the end of World War II. The flag was heavily used by the Japanese in the conquest and the occupation of East Asia, it is seen as offensive in countries which were victims of Japanese colonialism, largely because of the war crimes perpetrated by the Japanese military. This flag has similar meaning with Nazi flag. You should ban this flag in all Olympic games.

Tow things you have to know about Japan
One is that The Rising Sun Flag currently using is like Nazi Flag of Germany in the imperialism period.
You should ban this flag in all Olympic games.
The other is that radioactive pollution is not cleaned up and is not controlled properly until now.
You should bring your own food and air when you visit Japan.

    The Rising Sun Flag

It is the same as Haken Kreuz of Nazi Germany.

The reason why it should not be used in the Olympics, a symbol of peace, is sufficient.

Do not tolerate the flags used by war criminals in the Olympics, a symbol of peace.

Nope, Tokyo heat and humidity in July and August is worse than New Orleans. Source: Myself from living there for five years. It is the worst humidity I've ever experienced. I think a lot of people won't be expecting it and I feel for the athletes that will be competing outdoors.

Geeze all of these nasty comments from Koreans. For other foreigners curious about possibly attending but are getting scared off by all this radiation talk: I lived in Tokyo for several years over the time that the incident occurred. Fukushima is a number of hours away from Tokyo. It is not that close. I also never at any point in time felt like I was in any kind of danger while living there. Tokyo has some of the highest food standards in the world and is safe. Seriously, don't worry that much. The health concern at these games should be the heat, not radiation.

Can the legacy of the 1964 Olympics be repeated in 2020? That was a different era and in a different time. I don't believe it will have the same transformative effect as it did then. This is really the Prime Minister's games.

To show that Japan has fully recovered from the 2011 tsunami disaster. But really if that was the case. There would have been more effort put into those hardest stricken areas.

But at the same time I still believe in the Olympic movement. I may not always agree with it's politics. But I also believe that a world without it would be a much worse place to be.

We already have enough hatred, misunderstanding, discrimination and frankly indifference in the world as it is. The games is one of the few rare opportunities that we stop killing each other.

For 2 weeks in the spirit of competition in sport. Anyone else has a better idea how we can do that in a way. Which can bring the world together for a short time then be my guest. Otherwise quit the stupid protests and support your athletes!!

News medias still say that Tokyo Olympics is dangerous. They gonna feed radioactive foods to the players. Japan says that it's still safe but agricultural products still contain radioactive materials. It doesn't matter how much radioactive is in it, little bit of radioactive materials still can cause cancer according to the WHO. Furthermore, Japan is going to display their war flag….which is, still offensive to some countries….. I mean….other countries n public believe that having an Olympics in Tokyo is still unsafe due to the radioactive. Japanese r still lying abt the amount of radiation
