MORNING ROUTINE WITH KIDS ON VACATION | WHAT TO PACK IN A BEACH BAG

Good morning guys and welcome back to my channel. In today’s video, I thought I would film a
morning routine while we’re away on our family vacation. I made a video like this three years ago. [inaudible 00:00:12] video. Yeah. And everyone loved it. It’s still viewed lots today. So I thought I’d show you how we do it in
the morning on our family holiday. So I’ve just woken up. It is about quarter past six, and I have woken
up in bed with this little man, Jack Jack. You say hello? You say hello to everybody? [inaudible 00:00:40]. He’s reverted back to being a baby. Can you say good morning? Basically I sleep with Jackson. So on holiday we have always had to pay for
two rooms because we have five people in our family. But normally we don’t use the second room
because all the kids- We got two rooms and Fraser’s in the new room. That’s right. Fraser and Caleb are in the new room. So this year we’re actually using both rooms
because Jackson wakes up now at quarter past six but the big boys need to have a bit more
sleep than that. They need to sleep till like seven or even
eight. Caleb is by far our best sleeper. And on holiday in the evenings we go out for
dinner, we go to the evening entertainment and they probably get to bed at about- We get some waffles. And we get waffles. Yeah, we’ll show you that in a bit. But yeah, they go to bed at about nine, but
no matter what time we go to bed, Jackson will always wake up at about six. But he can obviously have a nap during the
day whereas they won’t. So they need to have as much sleep as they
possibly can. Especially Caleb. He loves his sleep, and if he doesn’t get
enough he will be grumpy. So Matt is in there with the big boys and
I’m in here with the little man. So when we wake up, and depending on how tired
I am, I’ll hand him my phone. I’m like, “Here you go.” And he loves to play, there’s this game he
plays. I love to play the plane. Which one do you like to play? On the plane. You play on the plane. So he is now playing a block game. It looks a bit like Tetris, but he also has
this game where he will ice a cake and then smooth out the cake. He really likes it. It’ll give me another like 10 to 15 minutes
of snooze time. So he’s doing that. Then I’ll normally put on the TV. They’ve got lots of cartoon channels, so we
might watch that. And while he’s doing that I might do a little
bit of work. Yeah. But anyway, that was a really long intro and
sorry I look like this. I have no makeup on, and I’m so pale because
it’s funny how when you get older you just want to protect your skin. I’ve been wearing factor 50 every day and
I am trying not to get burnt on my face. But anyway, we’re going to go to the buffet
and to the beach so we’ll take you with us and we’ll show you how we do mornings on holiday. On the track I going to the park. Yeah. Will you say bye, bye? My watching [SpongeBosh 00:03:26]. Yeah, you might see SpongeBosh. SpongeBosh is out to play park. Yes. SpongeBob. Yeah. Can you say SpongeBob? SpongeBob SquarePants. Well done. Knows SpongeBob [inaudible 00:03:44] now I
got toy. SpongeBob toy. You have a SpongeBob toy, don’t you? Yes, but anyway, I’ll show you the view from
our balcony. When we did used to all stay in a room together. I would take Jackson onto the balcony if he
woke up earlier before anyone, but I don’t have to do that anymore thankfully. So as I said, I’ll normally stick on the TV
I normally put on BabyTV and Jackson will watch that while I just check my emails. Where we’re staying is five hours behind the
UK, so if there’s anything urgent, I’d like to just see what’s been happening. If I have any emails that I need to reply
to and just get that out of the way so that then I feel that I can relax for the day. But then the big boys have come in, they woke
up quite early this morning as well at about seven. So they come in, they’re reuniting and then
they’ll play and watch some TV while I go and get ready. So I’m just going to put my hair up and then
I will wash my face, tone and moisturize. I keep changing what skincare I’m using, but
at the moment I’m using a range that my sister-in-law really recommended. I think it’s quite clinical range called Obagi. I’ll let you know how I get on with it, but
I’ve been suffering with hormonal spots at the moment, so we’re really trying to get
rid of that. Once I’ve cleansed I’m then going to put on
a tinted suncream. This is SPF 50, but because it has got a tint
to it, I don’t need to put foundation on top of it, but I will definitely be putting concealer
on because I have quite dark circles, especially when I’m jet lagged. Then I’m just going to put on a little bit
of bronzer. This is the Benefit Hoola. I like this one because it’s matte and that’s
all the makeup I’m going to wear. And I will also put on this perfume. It’s a new Jo Malone one called Poppy and
Barley, and I bought it in the airport. And while I was getting ready, Matt’s got
the boys all ready for the day, brushed their teeth and then made a start on their sun cream. We always tend to put the boys sun cream on
before we go to breakfast so that it has a little bit of a chance to soak in. As soon as we finish breakfast we go down
to the pool and they will literally just jump in and I don’t feel like they would be able
to have sun cream put on poolside then wait 10 minutes for it to soak in. I just don’t think it would happen. So this is the best way for us to make sure
that they have lots on. Then I wanted to show you my huge beach bag. This is probably the best one I’ve ever had. I found it on Amazon. It’s mesh, which I actually really like that
it’s a little bit see-through, because you can kind of see what you’re looking for. So this is what I’m packing. I pack three sets of dry swimwear, because
I need dry clothes for lunchtime, but it might as well be swimwear because they’re going
to get back into it. I’m also bringing another dry pair of shorts
for Jackson because he is so little and tends to spill things. Then I’m bringing his life vest to swim in,
a hat for each of the boys to swim in, and some swimming nappies. Although Jackson is potty trained, I really
don’t want to be the one whose child poos in the pool. So I’ll still put this on him, and bring some
nappy bags, and some normal nappies as well because he’ll wear one during his nap and
chances are we might to be by the pool. Of course bringing more sun cream and a sun
cream for their lips. And then I’m bringing two games. They love to play Double and UNO, either with
each other or with the friends that they make around the pool if they ever need some shade
time. They’re great. Also bringing my GoPro, goggles for each of
the boys because they love to wear them. Jackson only lasts like 10 minutes in his,
but if the others are wearing goggles the chances are he will want to wear goggles as
well. And also bringing some sunglasses, because
sometimes the boys like to wear that at lunch. And then I’m bringing some pool toys to dive
for and some snacks. These are all snacks that I’ve brought from
the UK, but sometimes they get hungry at about 10 or 11:00 AM so I’ve got some Nature Valley
bars and some onion rings as well. And then as if that wasn’t enough, I’m also
bringing some pens. Oh my hairbrush as well, that’s for me. And a metal straw. These are great. They don’t have straws at the resort that
we’re staying in because they’re trying to cut down on plastic. But the last time we really did miss having
a straw for Jackson. So I’ve brought that. You can buy these on Amazon or I’ve even seen
it in Primark. And then I’m bringing my pens on a string. I love these so much because you never lose
the caps to your pens. I got these on Amazon as well. And finally I bought them some new coloring
books for the plane, so I’m going to bring them for Jackson. So that is pretty much everything under the
buggy. We also put a volleyball and yeah, I think
that’s quite enough, don’t you? Then as we leave for breakfast, I’ll press
the cleanup button, which is the best feeling in the world and will mean that the cleaners
will come and make our room. It’s amazing. But anyway, we’re off out now. I forgot to mention the inflatable airplane,
but yeah, we’re on our way to breakfast. The boys have brought their travel scooters
on this holiday, but I only brought the two for the big boys. Nice one. Matt’s bringing a nappy with us to chuck out
and yeah, only brought the two scooters and one is obviously Caleb’s, but now that Jackson
is three, he really wants to have a go, so Caleb is letting him this morning. I also wanted to show you my outfit. I’ve got this drop arm hole dress from ASOS,
which I love. And these new TEVA sandals with a platform. I bought these on Office. They’re really comfortable and I love that
they make me a little bit taller. So yes, I’ve had this dress for so many years. I’m also wearing Accessorize glasses. But anyway, we’re off to breakfast. Jackson has got so good at the scooter. For the first few days it was so painful. It took us so very long to get anywhere, but
now he’s really on a roll. He’s got the balance, he can even steer and
it’s adorable. So I wanted to show you what they are wearing. They are matching as usual and they’re wearing
these really cute swim shorts from Next, which are black with pineapples on them. They’re also wearing rash vests, which I actually
found on Amazon and I love that they are full length in the arms and keep them very protected. And then they’re also wearing some sliders
from Next as well. But then we’re at breakfast and for breakfast
at Jackson cannot get enough of the fruit. He loves the mango and the pineapple in the
Caribbean. Caleb has been eating pancakes most days and
he’s also got a chocolate croissant. Fraser today wanted to just have some jam
toast and some pastries and fruit. Sometimes he’ll have beans on toast as well. He really likes that. Jackson’s got a little bit of orange juice
and as I said, fruit and pancakes. And once the boys have their breakfast then
we can go and get ours. We’re going to start out with some coffee
of course. And then we normally go up to the omelet station. So this is my view from the omelet station. I can see all the boys having breakfast together
and you can just choose anything that you want to put into your omelet. I don’t think I’d ever put that tuna in, but
I normally have tomatoes, peppers, onions, bit of bacon and some cheese, and then they’ll
just make it up fresh for you. So I’m having an omelet today with a hash
brown and some beans as well. And then we normally just get a big plate
of fruit. This is pineapple and cantaloupe. And then we all kind of share that and have
that. Matt decided to have some poached eggs this
morning with bacon. I think he’s got three poached eggs. And then before we leave, we tend to take
a few little boxes of cereal. Again, so if they’re hungry and they want
a snack at the beach later, they love to eat like Frosties or Fruit Loops as a little treat. And then we’re on our way to the pool. So it’s back on the scooters and again, Jackson
really wants to have a go, so Caleb has let him. I think he’s going to cartwheel ahead. But yeah, we’re just going to make our way
to the pool. It’s a really nice walk and then we tend to
get the same sunbeds everyday. It’s not too crazy busy, so that’s always
nice. And the weather has been amazing considering
it’s October and it’s freezing at home. It has been about 28, 29, 30 here. We do sometimes get like Caribbean showers,
but they don’t last too long. So yes, this is the beach front. There’s this huge butterfly here. And then this is the beach bar that we see
every morning and we just go and get our spots and then the boys will just pretty much swim
for most of the day. Sometimes we’ll go down to the beach and you
can hire these boogie boards for an hour, and they really enjoy that in the waves. But this morning we’re just going to hang
out at the pool and yeah, ruin anyone who’s relaxing is holiday. But yeah. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed this morning routine on
holiday. Let me know if you’d like to see an evening
one while we’re here, and I’ll see you in my next one. Bye guys.
