My First Trip to DOHA QATAR After 10 Years: 4 Days of Unforgettable Fun, Food and Discoveries-Day 1

Water that’s checked, oil that’s checked car steering are okay… It’s time! Waw! I’m in Qatar, I’m going to sleep Meshwar (trip) to Qatar for 4 days, starts tomorrow The weater’s nice It’s smell is unbelievable! Chief! It’s soft like butter! First of all I saw you I saw you I saw you behind the tree. I won! Calm donw. How long have I wanted to come to Doha! I have 4 days… how much will I discover? Meshwar (trip) starts now! I came from Lebanon to Lebanon. I came to a place that’s mind-blowing! I felt that I’m in a Lebanese village! The details, from one spot to the other… you look at the walls and you feel like you’re back to the mountains in Lebanon. A good taste, the colors of the table are very nice…. The taste of the Labne is just like Lebanon’s taste The Hummus, the Fatteh That’s how the travel begins, breakfast and we get going! The weather’s nice, it’s almost 35 degrees the humidity is high but there’s nice wind. I got to Qatar and I have to be tourist the same way that I have to try the restaurants. So the first stop… to the Museum! The Museum of Islamic Arts. It’s big. It’s very big! I just understood why the ticket lasts for 3 days. It’s only for 50 Riyal, and you tour from a floor to the other. It’s amazing! The tour continued to the National Museum. At first you’d get shocked, you don’t know where to go or the direction. The exterior of the building is very nice! Until you come in and start listening to the voice effects… the lighting and the projection on the walls. It’s way more than a Museum, it’s actually impressive! It takes you to a journey in time… while you’re just in one building. Gulf coffee, it’s so good! First of all, it’s color and smell.. it’s nothing like the Lebanese coffee it’s not black. It’s smell is unbelievable! And it’s taste is so good! I hope the coffee is just like you want it to be. It’s great! You still haven’t seen anything… the Chief is waiting for you in the kitchen. You’re going to see something you’ve never seen before. Alright we’ll go in. Let’s go… Chief! Greetings! How are you? No garlic, no onions? Not at all! Alright great great… We’ll get ready and we’ll no in. Ladies and Gentlemen! Everybody say Ya! Ya! One more time Ya! Ya! No garlic, no onion! okay, no garlic no onions please…. Those are the vibes Lets do it. We met a while ago, he said you’re the camera and the kitchen is mine… inside you don’t say a word… you walk with me. I said I give up! Yes. The chief’s have knives! Stop talking! This is Kebbeh. This is Kebbet Al Aaraban. Inside there’s meat, with pecans, and then we have… dates! The Chief really like traditional cuisines He gives it a bit of a twist, and he up lifts it. The word didn’t come out. Yes. It means he lifts it up a bit. You cut the fourth. no garlic. no onions. How many times in your life did you eat Kebbeh with Pecans with a crunch… it has tamarind for India It has spices… of Lebanon. The dates are from Qatar… All of this takes you on a travel… from the Mediterranean Sea from Lebanon all the way here to Qatar. It’s unbelievable. The texture on the outisde is just like having Kebbeh, the meat is great! It doesn’t have anything crunchy and annoying for the teeth. and the taste at the end is amazing! The Kebbeh is chilled. The sauce is warm, all together… this is my first time trying something like that. They told me that the Chief is great, but not that much! My name is Fawaz Al Omiem, I have a Chief certificate but I am still learning… I’m trying to get 60 to 70% of the Qataris traditional food. And we are trying to add 30% from all over the world (international food), so that our menu is special and something familiar… So we conclude that, most importantly you have something trendy innovative, while preserving the original favor. That’s right! Waw. For real waw! I don’t know if it’s fine dining.. I don’t know if it’s Lebanese, or Qataris or Middle Eastern. We are going to start with this one that looks like icecream. Yes, this is vine leaves and hummus Hummus and vine leaves?! Yes. It’s hummus with the taste of vine leaves, and we have Tannour bread here. Nice. I don’t even want to have it with bread, I want to taste it for real. This with it. Wow! Hummus, hummus the taste of hummus. Then at the end you’d taste an acid-like taste and a bit of citrus. You feel like you’re having vine leaves in the hummus! We still have this you will like. This is sushi… You can eat it with your hands. But you eat this. Yes this because the other one has a surprise. Sushi, tell me more. Sushi in vine leaves. Sushi with vine leaves… and there are mangos Green mangoes. Do you like spicy food? Right? No water, don’t give him water. No water… water is gone. The fire came out of my ears! We do not have water, we don’t sell water. It’s really good. It’s okay… It’s very very good. The right way. Should I eat it with my hands or a knife and fork? I say, you have to start with the head… The head? I eat the head, don’t worry. Crunch! Those are the teeth? Yes with the teeth. You’re the man! With the eyes? With the eyes, the tongue… everything There are firsts for everything in life. The head you have to… Chips. Then what do we do with the heart, the head? No you have to eat it like the Qataris. You’re going to eat with your hands okay? Aha… okay! Now i need to be ready. Mix, yes mix like thta. Then you hold them like that You put it in your hands like that. You roll it a bit and smash it. Even that? I have to dirty all my hand? Dirty it! You’re going with James Bond? He’s the best! Lets do it. Make a sound. That’s right. I’m not going to talk… this is your time to take revenge on the… this has pepper. I don’t know.. I have to say cheers. It’s a pleasure that I met you. Thank you! You’re thanked. Until now it’s unbelievable. I’m very happy, the day is almost over but we still have a lot The tour of Qatar goes on. I will see you later hopefully. I won’t tell you when. It’s a surprise. After we had good food… we got to a touristic place. It’s called Qatara. But who would’ve said that in Qatar in the dessert… There’s grass and green areas more than Europe! I felt like I’m on the Champs-Elysees Rocks on the floor… Green grass all the way. All types of trees. Lafayette. Impressive. I don’t know where to start. 10 cars has passed! If someone watched this video, and i haven’t told him where i am. He heard the sound of the birds, and saw the trees. He saw the sunset behind me. And these good views. He would definitely not believe I am in Qatar. I can’t believe. Peekaboo! I saw you behind the tree. So from here we keep going and head to The Pearl. Everyone has heard of the pearl. So we are going to see what is it… It’s built in the sea it’s almost like half an island. Mokarabia, and then dinner. What are we having? So, this one is coffee tonic Espresso Mediterranean Tonic touch of lime juice and rosemary. This one I call Al Mothe Coast Look at the layers! orange juice and orange soda… espresso and slices of orange. A fast turn… Waw! It’s the first time I drink Coffee and orange juice. Orange juice i thought would give it acidity… but not at all! It gives it a nice sweetness without needing sugar. Espresso at the end… taste of coffee refreshing! excellent! Its a must that you meet this bartender, which knows what he is doing I asked him for a sparkling espresso, he disappeared for 5 minutes and came back… with this invension! Sparkling with fizziness that’s very simple… tickles the tongue a bit.. you feel the coffee… Sourness at the end because it has citrus at the end… top! you rock! Excellent! He couldn’t understand that it’ the first time we try something together… I was… it’s more than you expected right? If you see my eyes… i’m lost I don’t know where I feel like there’s an onion that’s going to hit me. Today… I want you to try onion and garlic.. and if you outgrew this… your allergy of onions and garlic would disappear. I am assuring you. I know what I am doing. Okay… Do you trust me? 100%, let’s go. Done? Show me. It’s a coffee shop alright? Okay… there’s something coming from there. This… is the best onion! For no garlic no onion…. to remove your allergy The first time you’ll have onion in a cake shape. Nice… a garlic as well I wish all the onions looked like this on the inside. Excited… super excited. I went to have coffee, ended up having drinks I have never tried before. Then the cake surprise. My car and I are going to play. I am going to play, like a little kid… but a place for adults, let’s see. i have never felt this way!! its like its real! Before i get up to stage i would like to tell the audience that i will sing them a song! I hope you like it. So we got to a karaoke bar… Its just like sitting in a nightclub. It closes all up… the sound isolation is top! People could book it and sing. Let’s sing a song! Look me in the eye. the camera will flip and we will see something amazing! waw! Its just like someone having a salon… in his house he has 10 Million dollars at home. But in an adults playground. I won! I scored the nine and I won! First of all then… I want to let you… You’re inviting me today? Darts time. I still haven’t finished the first one. Calm down, we are now in a place called Karaki, they have Lokaymat (bites). which is something like doughnuts… But in a Qataris way. Some have chocolate and others cheese… Honey or with chocolate.. Coffee.. There’s a knock at the end… a bite… I made a mess… that’s how you feel you’re Qataris 100%! Afternoon, a small snack before heading to dinner. We made a mistake… We can’t change the traditions.. this on the left and this on the right. Hey! Hello! Wherever you lose me you’d find me in the kitchen… I love kitchens. Chief where are you from? From South Africa. South Africa! Great. The most important thing here is the oven pizza up there. The vibes are very nice… roastery here… and we are going to do chicken! So chicken? All chicken. Yes! Great! Let’s do some chicken! Come on Kareem… come in come in! So when someone comes here, what are you famous for? We are very famous for chicken… Octupus… Pastas all our pastas Our Chafo Pizza, very very famous with our chafo pizza as well.

Only spoiled, ungrown adults, play with their toys. How sad to see people living in luxury, while a few miles away, in neighbouring countries like Syria, the regime of Basher al-Assad, are massacring innocent men, women, and children, especially innocent children that have no time to play with their toys, if they have any, because their on the run for their lives.

Maybe in your next amateur video, you should interview the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, and ask him, if he likes to play with toy cars. Nice to see the Lebanese goverment and people, allowing butchers, and killers to operate an embassy office in Beirut, ya, nice country Lebanon.

Did anyone notice the Israeli guy wearing the kippah walking freely in Doha. There is nothing wrong with that except that the hypocrites in Qatar claim to be against Israel and keep portraying themselves as the defenders of Palestine and Jerusalem. I would love to hear back from the liars in Qatar.
