Ironic indeed in that Matt Lauer was in on the joke of the reporter talking about being a creep when in it seems that Matty-boy was indeed a creep. Stranger than fiction I guess

Given the wide use of surveillance cameras in virtually all places, I would think that one should just assume that they are always being observed and that rather than fret about all the cameras, just focus on finding any that might be located in more private spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, etc?

Let me get this right… They normally leave starbucks cups and water bottles sitting around. I have specific areas where I charge my devices and what I use to charge them. So not spotting the obvious is not knowing your home. I bet they couldn't tell you how many smoke/radon detectors are in their home and where.

He only tells you how to detect them if they have WiFi. But there are cameras that record without transmitting the info. They function like DVRs. Those ones can be extremely tiny (the size of a large six-sided dice) and wouldn't be detected by the frequency scanner. At the same time, I think a person putting their home on the AirBnB market would understandably want to take certain precautions if strangers are staying at their place. A camera in the common room doesn't necessarily make the homeowner a de facto pervert. If there's one in the bathroom, though…

I only stay in the finest of shithotels when traveling. Mainly because they are so generous when I show them the camera I planted, I mean found.

They really didn't spend much time talking about HOW to spot hidden cameras. They showed that one thing-a-ma-bob but didn't talk much about that.

In your private moments, just turn down the lights. Cameras can't record anything worthwhile in the dark.

    Dear Global Friends,

Human beings are extremely clever and also are extremely with low mentality without moral values where privacy is no more private.

The lost of moral in human beings has fallen deep below par. Educated in uncivilised way of life.

Gang Stalkers do that …spy on people. usually witches covens …wiccans ….satan worshipers and many former military wit access to police computers.
organized community stalking …organized gang stalking …goes by many names. People say this doesn't exist because the most vocal complainers of this tend to be people with mental problems or people who don't know how to produce a video. ….but this is evidence of it. Why would someone do this if they were not part of some pagan gang stalking group. Usual targets are outspoken christians, conservatives, republicans, trump supporters, constitutionalists and in general people who love America.

Pagans, witches and satan worshipers have traditionally always been the traitors and seditionists in any country throughout human history …because they are demon possessed from their occult practices. …mystery babylon

we live in a world where peoples lives are so empty they feel a need to spy on other people, get a life and stop spying on people, its the same as peeping toms spying through the curtains into your living room to watch what your doing,

QUESTION: HOW WOULD SOMEONE Be able to monitor on a Wi-Fi doesn’t their house have a password on their Wi-Fi how would you be able to maintain a signal to spy on them with all these cameras in their house I am confused on this scenario that’s in this video where is the signal coming from that is monitoring them most if not all have home Wi-Fi that’s password-protected this just seems unrealistic

It's not a hotel. It's somebodies house. Many of You have cameras in your home, why can't they? It's important especially when renting out to tourists with sticky fingers and big suit cases for filling with stolen goods.

Just like people are required to register their guns. There should be a requirement to register when buying these gadgets. This is literally an invasion of a persons privacy!👎

They all should seek Compensation for Illegal Invading their privacy. But that doesn’t give them any comfort. The Offender should get prison time.

This is complete BS. The pen camera and the bottles. First. Empty bottles in an Airbnb is considered garbage and would be unacceptable. The pen camera has to be turned on and it only runs for 2 hrs max. It has to be plugged in. It has to have a remote on and off. Most of those cameras cannot be operated remotely. This is creating a problem where there really isn’t one. The only way those hosts could have surveilled the bedroom or bathroom is to have 1. A complete disconnection and disregard for Airbnb’s TOS. 2. A dedicated camera with a electrical connection and remote monitoring system. So it would be the home security realm of technology. Not a stupid empty Starbucks cup. Just about everyone would check that cup for something rancid or old inside on the clean countertop. Distractions. Completely empty report from Today then or now.

The best part of this video is watching it in 2019 and seeing Matt Lauer laughingly say (4:58) "Do you think I am a creep? Is this a trick question?"
    LMAO!!!
Some may say this did not age well. I say it aged PERFECTLY.

Hiden cameras bothers me but what bothers me is if the host comes into my place when I go out & steals one of my things! Do hosts come in unaccounced behind you back when you're out or a m I being paranoid? Because the last airbnb I stayed at, the host did just that!
