You really can see that she has social anxiety. Look at her hand, her stature, her vocals compares to the song on the album. Even at the end. This is something really hard to get over and being in the spotlight is already a lot. So please be respectful. 😔

Such an incredible job. And i'm so proud of her for actually showing up. That alone shows her dedication and she came through with the vocals. Another thing… for people with social anxiety, not singers and performers but for normal people… sometimes it's all about getting out of your head. Our minds can be the most destructive places and can honestly keep us back if we let it but there's always a road to freedom and it starts when you take control of your narrative and just let go and be whomever you wanna be. ❤ ❤ ❤

I'm happy for her. She could've turned it down, but instead she faced her fears and she went out there and performed. Keep pushing Summer!

I have terrible anxiety and when you have it, it can make you freeze. It’s amazing she can sing so flawlessly with it. She is going to get used to this level of fame and SHINE in terms of performing, just like her voice already does. She is my favorite new artist that I found this year. LOVE HER! 🖤

I don’t get how this woman this good can be so shy in public. I hope she gets over her shyness soon, she’s very talented

It was dark in there you guys is not about to keep excusing her behavior the woman can not sing live. I think she would be better off producing music for like beyonce give her that music

So proud of her. This made me cry fr it’s so hard to just get on the stage and execute. Anxiety makes your body feel like retreating it’s really a whole fight against your mind and body on stage but she got tf up, performed, and delivered beautiful vocals for us. Such an inspiration for me and people with and without anxiety alike. FUCK THE HATERS they still listening to your records 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think she is in a position where she can turn down shows and be alright.
Because these performances aren't great in my opinion. We all can agree that she is a fantastic singer and not so good of a performer. Great that she tried her best tho , but u gotta do better.

I too used to be so nervous anytime I had to do public speaking or go on stage to sing or perform. I got over it, by taking a drama class and later a modeling class.. now, I can go on stage with no problem, as well as do public speaking. Summer is a great artist, but you HAVE TO engage with your audience and fans when you perform. Standing in one spot in a pose, staring off into space is not going to cut it in the music business. Her talent can take her far, but performance and stage presence is EVERYTHING as a singer. Walk back and forth, feel the music, look at your fans and sell them the song, get lost in your song. If you don’t feel it, they sure as hell won’t. Then people won’t come out to see you perform, (even if you sound good), because your shows will come off as boring and I attached.. I like her as an artist, but she has to get some help very soon. I saw a video with Da Brat, where they were talking about Summer being booed by her fans. That’s not a good feeling. But she has to seek some help and come back stronger or this business will break her.

This is the first time I have experienced anything by Summer Walker. I was curious as Joe Budden had dubbed her one of the whisperer songstresses. I see what he meant now.

really nice to see positive comments about Summer and her anxiety. I still can't wrap my head around people mocking her so badly for something I thought we understood more as a society… people want to claim they understand anxiety, until they see what it truly looks like, and then that person becomes the problem.
