What We Eat When We Travel | Vegan, Healthy and FRUSTRATED ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ Boho Diary Switzerland

coming to you live from the best airport in the world we are in victoria bc canada this is literally our favourite airport to be in, its quiet everyone is super nice here there’s never a line up zero to 5 minute wait at security and the air in BC is amazing it just clears out your lungs i love it so were going to Davos in Switzerland super last minute trip this was out of no where crazy thing about going on last minute trip is when you don’t own anything because 2 years you thought it was a good idea to sell everything you spend 2 days running arounf desperately looking for the things that you no longer have i actually went and needed a new winter coat i had a lot of trouble finding a coat because most of the coats have down in them or they have that coyote trim which drives me crazy there’s no purpose to actually keeping warmer to have coyote on your trim so its literally just a fashion statement that says i don’t care that a coyote was trapped killed and skinned i found this amazing coat at Lole and they use synthetic down a little model show here and its super warm so im really excited to test it out in the winters of switzerland and i think its final boarding now too were always the last people on the plane somehow we gotta go 10 Km of tabagonning

Finally a question about Thrive…. you said they deliver straight to your door…. what type of transportation do they use? Is it more environmentally friendly than other forms of shopping?

Sometimes i get confused by your standpoint on these things as you seem anti-animal consumption (e.g. veganism, fauxdown etc) but pro-fossil fuel consumerism (e.g. long haul flights, waste of products that don't meet your standards, individually plastic wrapped protein bars). Let us know what you think, I love to hear your ideas long haul flights, and energy and transport used in what you consume.

Although I am not vegan (my body has a bad reaction to it, but I want to help the planet), I try to eat as responsible as possible. I order directly from local farmers in my area who are 100% transparent in their practice. It's a website called Crowd Cow. It's more expensive but worth it to my husband and I. You also know what families your money is going to. Plus we no longer have to visit grocery stores which are just full of bad habits. My entire family uses thrive and it's AMAZING. Also, depending on where you live there is this company called Imperfect Produce. They are a company that delivers 'ugly' but totally edible veggies and fruits to your door that are turned away from grocery chains because they don't 'look good'. They are helping to stop food waste in my country (USA) They are a very small operation but are rapidly growing! Plus because the food is being turned away for looking ugly, they sell it to you for a cheaper price. They also have organic options and let you know where the food is coming from!

Hellooooo! I absolutely love you two. I've been following your page since 2016. At one point I was doing your yoga videos 2/3 times a day. You get me into my best shape! Not to mention how convenient & reliable it is doing it all from home. You have motivated me a tremendous amount. Just wanted to say THANK YOU !!! P.S. Have you thought about sharing some new vlogging/editing tips? I love how you two film multiple videos throughout your day. What's your planning/brainstorming process like? xx Kaci

Itโ€™s so ridiculous why not cook properly the vegan/ vegetarian food properly in the air plain – indeed itโ€™s awful there. As if they never heard of hummus, good tofu, nuts/ nuts butter, spices. Ok or just cook nice pasta. Indeed itโ€™s huge disappointment!

i always brings fresh fruit and veggies with me on flights. the freshness makes my mind and body feel better. carrots, celery & apples are go to. i also LOVE yogi ginger tea. i bring vega electrolyte packets. when traveling overseas, i bring a couple of individual protein packets on the plane with me – mix it up with some water – like you're concocting a potion. and even though it takes up a lot of space in my suitcase, i bring a tub of protein powder with me. my go to is vega protein & greens. nom nom and namaste. safe travels!

What is your experience in being in countries where you have to be careful about drinking the water and eating produce that may have been washed in the water? I'm living in Mexico right now and am finding it difficult to eat healthy since raw fruits/veggies are questionable. I have been washing my fruits and veggies in a solution, but even so, you can't control how they wash/prepare food at restaurants, even if the restaurants themselves serve healthy options. Suggestions?

@bohobeautiful I'll have to remember the whole reusable water bottle thing from now on. on my last trip I tried to bring one in my carry on and TSA told me I couldn't bring it on the plane (and yes it was totally empty and dry). We will be going to Utah in 2 days so hopefully I can bring it through this time.

What was that place that can help people learn to make videos. And thanks I get tons of people telling me that I've lost weight and they can tell the difference with my yoga. I cannot do the bird of paradise but I'm in much better shape than I was a year ago. I recommend you guys to everyone
